Design for Democracy 2020 Workshop
February 8 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm
Designed to be nonpartisan and ideologically inclusive, our one-day Design for Democracy workshop will deepen participants’ understanding of democracy and enable participants to put knowledge and skills into practice for collective action, community problem solving, and creating positive change.
We will start the day learning about the current challenges voters face in Texas and what local organizations are doing. Attendees will participate in a Volunteer Deputy Registrar training and walk away certified to register eligible voters in Travis County.
The goal of the workshop is to walk away with actions we can collectively take to make an impact in Austin-area civic engagement. AIGA Austin will be working to support and organize around the ideas that come from the day.
