Austin Tech Alliance consults and relies on our Advisory Board for their expertise and feedback on our programs and strategy. This week we’ll learn about ATA Advisory Board Member, Liz Coufal, Director of Business Development & Impact, Valkyrie
Why did you decide to join the ATA Advisory Board?
I was honored to be asked to serve on the Board. I am wildly passionate about making space for everyone in our democracy, so this role was the perfect fit.
What is your favorite thing(s) about being a part of ATA?
ATA fills a critical role in our community – one that seeks to educate, empower and connect tech workers with their place in our democracy. It recognizes that we play an important role in our community and with that, comes the responsibility to serve.
Why is it important for the tech community to be civically engaged?
The tech community is one of many pieces that make up our greater community as a whole. We’re here because others came before us and paved the way. It is imperative that we hold what we have with a position of gratitude and open-handedness. It is our job to continue progressing forward, while lifting others in our community up.
