Tech’s input needed on the future of Austin high-capacity transit

Project Connect, Capital Metro’s long-range transit plan, is currently being updated, and they need your help.

Project Connect’s goal is to identify high-capacity transit solutions that offer options for travel into, out of, and around Central Austin. What exactly is high-capacity transit? Think transit that travels the entire trip, or a portion of its trip, on a dedicated lane or guideway, so examples include commuter rail, bus rapid transit, and streetcars.

The tech community’s input is needed to help shape this plan. Visit here to take a brief survey and identify which commuter, connector, and circulator corridors you think make the most sense for high-capacity transit in the Capital of Texas region.

You can also provide input on which kinds of improvements to Capital Metro’s existing high-capacity transit services are most important to you.

The deadline for the survey is April 30.
